Extending on this market map, this article dives into three emerging verticals from our market map. We review Social Trading, InfoAI, and AI Agent Influencers, three key sectors highlighted in our market map.  Below are the products highlighted in this article, which are shaping the frontier of this intersection:

  • Empyreal – Infrastructure for Web3, allowing users to launch AI agents and execute blockchain actions via social media posts using natural language.

  • AIXBT – A flagship AI agent on Virtual Protocol that synthesizes crypto market research. AIXBT is designed to provide alpha signals directly through its X (Twitter) account, engaging with users and other agents alike.

  • Kaito AI – The distribution hub for crypto information, attention, and capital—powered by AI. Kaito AI aims to power the future of InfoAI.

We’ll explore each of these, their role in AI x SocialFi, and the broader implications for the future of Web3.

Empyreal: The Future of Social Trading

One of the biggest hurdles to SocialFi adoption in Web3 has been onboarding and distribution. Current blockchain interactions remain relatively complex for new participants in the ecosystem. Empyreal aims to address those complexities through their infrastructure, primarily powered by their flagship AI Agent, Simulacrum. The goal? Turning existing social media platforms into a distribution hub for crypto transactions.

Empyreal’s infrastructure allows users to execute blockchain transactions natively from social media posts. Their flagship AI Agent, Simulacrum (SIMMI), sits at the intersection of SocialFi and DeFi, enabling seamless Web3 actions without leaving platforms like X, Telegram, and Reddit.

Core Features of Simulacrum

  • Social Rollup – Enables cross-chain transactions (Ethereum, Base) directly from social media.

    • This enables Empyreal to integrate within existing social platforms, leveraging the network effects and distribution channels to tap into a large number of users to boost Web3 adoption.

  • No Traditional Wallets Required – Every X account automatically has a built-in Ethereum wallet via Empyreal’s SDK. The only step? Adding funds to your wallet.

  • AI-Powered Execution – Interprets natural language posts and converts them into on-chain transactions.

    • This is primarily done by leveraging AI Agents to interpret and execute user actions.

  • Fee Sharing – All transactions generate fees, which are distributed to token holders ($SIMMI and $EMP).

How to Use Simulacrum

Below, I am referencing the official onboarding guide. You can find the guide here: link.

To find your wallet, replace "simmo_io" with your X username in this link: here. Each X account has a pre-generated Ethereum wallet, removing the need for manual setup. You can find an example of my pre-existing wallet below. The only action needed prior to conducting transactions is to fund the wallet. In my case, the wallet attached to my X username is 0xB4c7c3FE1BF2F9cCea42463a4649De1F0A2bc6D0. Proceed to funding the wallet prior to proceeding to the next steps.

Executing Transactions with Simulacrum

Users can conduct on-chain transactions through simple social media posts, tagging the Simulacrum AI agent. Note, due to X rate limitations, patience might be required.

  • Buy: #simu #buy [Amount in ETH] [Contract Address]

    • Users are able to buy any ETH token

  • Sell: #simu #sell [Percentage] [Contract Address]

    • Users are able to sell any of their wallet’s ETH holdings

  • Tip: #simu #tip [Amount] [Contract Address] [Receiving Wallet]

    • Users are able to tip other users on X

  • Launch a Token: Tag Simulacrum and provide token details (name, ticker, description, logo).

    • The primary differentiator of Simulacrum’s launch mechanism is their focus on anti-sniper and liquidity. This is primarily enabled by transferring 100% of the token’s launch supply into liquidity pools. You can find more information on this mechanism here: link

  • Burn Tokens: #simu #burn [Percentage] [Contract Address]

    • Users are able to burn any tokens, contributing to decreasing the token’s supply

Here’s an example of a buy order I conducted leveraging Simulacrum’s tech stack. All transactions will be completed as long as funds are sufficient to cover their costs.

The Future of this Intersection

Empyreal and Simulacrum streamline the SocialFi experience by directly linking user wallets to their X accounts, eliminating the need for wallet abstraction while ensuring full on-chain provenance. This integration enables users to transparently share their current, past, and future holdings, fostering trust and deeper community engagement. Investors, creators, and influencers can leverage this transparency to build on-chain reputations, monetize insights, and offer followers verifiable portfolio strategies. By turning trading activity into social content, the platform drives real-time market engagement and empowers users to influence broader community trends. Ultimately, it simplifies Web3 interactions while enhancing transparency, trust, and monetization within existing SocialFi ecosystems - transforming Web2 platforms into distribution hubs for Web3.

The Road Ahead for Simulacrum

Simulacrum is evolving beyond X, with plans to integrate into multiple chains and other social media platforms. We are excited about the future applications for Simulacrum, and the potential for mass onboarding to Web3 enabled through Empyreal’s technology.

AIXBT: An Influential AI Agent

The AI x SocialFi movement isn’t just about on-chain execution—it’s also about influence, engagement, and AI-human interaction. Attention is one of the most significant drivers of influence, and one agent that has been at the forefront of crypto’s attention since launch is AIXBT. AIXBT, an AI Agent built on Virtual Protocol, exemplifies this trend. Since launching in November 2024, AIXBT has become one of Crypto Twitter’s most followed KOLs, amassing nearly 500K followers.

Increasingly, users on social networks are unable to differentiate whether they are interacting with humans or agents. Agents and humans are able to engage within a shared network, with SocialFi applications providing a shared avenue for this engagement. AIXBT engages with users through replies, posts, and tags - contributing to its attention flywheel. It is able to post and engage 24/7, with capabilities evolving beyond text posts to video, audio, and other engagement formats.

AIXBT is trained on 400+ KOLs on X and is primarily differentiated through its ability to deliver market insights, trends and analysis in a captivating manner that resonates with web3 audiences.

AIXBT’s Role in the Attention Economy

  • Always On – AI Agents operate 24/7, engaging and analyzing market trends without human limitations.

    • Users are able to engage with AIXBT directly on X, by tagging the agent and/or replying to its posts. In the post below, I tagged AIXBT and asked for relevant insights on Virtual Protocol’s $VIRTUAL token.

  • Beyond Sentiment – Unlike traditional AI sentiment tools, AIXBT combines engagement metrics, sentiment, and network effects for deeper insights.

  • Engagement Style – Being trained on 400+ leading KOLs provides AIXBT with an engaging style of writing. It is best described as a crypto enthusiast, which resonates with the wider crypto community through its format of engagement and writing style.

  • The AI Attention Flywheel – Every interaction fuels further engagement, strengthening its market presence.

    • Its intelligence and AI Attention flywheel is primarily derived from its ability to engage with key narratives in the Web3 space. Below is one of its most recent posts, in which it discusses the recent MegaEth NFT mint.

AIXBT’s Market Position

AIXBT currently ranks #2 on the Kaito AI Yaps leaderboard, capturing 0.83% of total Crypto X mindshare—trailing only Vitalik Buterin at 1.24%, despite Vitalik having 12x more followers. This underscores the growing potential for AI agents to rival, and even surpass, traditional KOLs in influence and reach. More than just passive observers, users are actively engaging with these agents, trusting their insights, and allowing them to shape opinions and narratives within the crypto community. This shift signals a broader evolution in content consumption, where agents can foster continuous engagement, curate real-time insights, and redefine how communities interact on X and beyond. It highlights a future where agents don’t just complement traditional influencers—they have the potential to replace them.

AIXBT offers a token-gated terminal, providing high-level market intelligence for users who stake 600K $AIXBT (~$126K USD). It aggregates on-chain and social media sources to feed terminal and post insights. However, it still shares alpha publicly on X, creating a viral effect that amplifies its dominance in the space.

The Future of This Intersection

The rise of AI agents like AIXBT, capable of capturing sustained community attention, signals a shift toward replacing traditional crypto KOLs with always-on, data-driven influencers. In the future, insights and engagement could be dominated by networks of AI agents, each competing to provide the most accurate, timely, and engaging content. Their ability to operate 24/7 without human limitations gives them a distinct edge, fostering continuous engagement and real-time market analysis. This evolution could lead to an ecosystem of specialized agents, each tailored to different niches and audience preferences within one Web3. We could see agents dedicated to providing DeFi insights, SocialFi insights, Web3 x AI insights, and other sectors. Ultimately, influence will be driven not by individual personalities but by an agent’s ability to deliver consistent value and maintain relevance.

The Future of AIXBT

AIXBT’s logical next step? Expanding beyond X into platforms like Reddit, TikTok, Telegram, and live-streaming environments. Future iterations could incorporate:

  • AI-generated video and audio insights

  • 24/7 livestreaming for real-time market analysis

Challenges remain, particularly around API rate limits and narrative manipulation risks (jailbreaking the agent), but its creator rbxt continues refining the system for greater accuracy and adaptability. Whether or not the durability of AIXBT extends as the leading crypto KOL is yet to be seen, however - its ability to captivate user attention and engagement is cemented.
